Tuesday, 27May 2008 When we laid in the meadows, together.
I've walked a million miles today:
Spoken words and made mistakes,
one hundred thousand times;
Heard the songs and taken breaths,
all ten thousand times;
Counted minutes and smelled the flowers,
one thousand times again;
Seen the people and spent the money,
just one hundred times;
Watched the sun set and cried the tears,
only those ten times;
But not once have I found myself.
