Icaliente!

Don't worry about tomorrow,
forget about yesterday.
Live today.
Laughing, giggling, and just having some fun
Chasing each other beneath the hot sun
Running, feet pounding on the concrete floor,
Just a few kids around the age of four.
Time flies by quicker than we ever knew
Impossible to halt or hold on to
No matter how much we want it to last
Those moments, those years have since gone past.
We've grown up, grown older in such little time
Trading our fun for a dollar and dime.
Our time seems to sparse and never enough
To relax, to play, to do all that stuff.
Oh, how I wish we could travel back
To the good old times of pleasure and slack.
Oh, if only we retained that innocence
Of youth, of childhood, that hope, that sense.
Today, I went to a park and saw there
Some children, running around with feet bare,
Laughing, giggling, and just having some fun.
Enjoying their childhood just begun.
